Instructional Design

This is a sales training program for GlaxoWellcome. I was producer, writer, designer, graphic artist, programmer, and video editor.

Serv Safe

Serv Safe had its origins as a video and pamphlet training system. In 1996, I took on a contract to revamp it into a CD-ROM-based version. It was quite an undertaking, taking nearly a year to complete, but it turned out to be a huge success, selling over 20,000 units.

Between 1997 and 2007, if you happened to visit a fast food restaurant, there's a good chance you'd come across a certificate generated by my program. For this project, I wore many hats – I was the video editor, producer, writer, graphic artist, and programmer. The whole thing was developed using Macromedia Director.

To make learning easier, I even built a custom Learning Management System (LMS) so that students could keep track of their progress. And, to ensure a wider audience could benefit from it, we also translated the program into Spanish. It was quite a journey!

Phonics Voyage

I have a very good friend with the Lumbee Tribe of NC. He has a drive to teach children phonics reading. We came up with a design and produced a series of these instructional programs.
